of <h1>Research Society Approved for Tax Benefits under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act, 1961; Compliance Deadlines Set</h1> The Research Society for the Care, Treatment and Training of Children in Need of Special Care in Bombay has been approved by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval, effective from April 1, 1987, to March 31, 1990, requires the institution to maintain separate accounts for scientific research funds, submit annual scientific research activity returns by May 31, and provide audited annual accounts by June 30 each year. Additionally, the institution must apply for approval extension three months before expiry and maintain separate accounts for non-research activities.
