These amendments include exemptions for scented supari with specific retail prices, candles, all goods under a specified category, manually operated rubber roller machines, copra dryers, and coronary stents for cardiac catheters. These changes are made in the public interest under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and are detailed in Notification No. 25/2006-Central Excise, dated March 20, 2006.
