of <h1>Institute of Management in Government Approved for Scientific Research Under Section 35(1)(iii) of Income-tax Act</h1> The Institute of Management in Government, Trivandrum, has been approved under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi. This approval is valid from April 1, 1985, to March 31, 1988. The institute must maintain separate accounts for funds received for scientific research, submit annual returns of research activities by April 30 each year, and provide audited accounts and balance sheets by June 30 annually to the prescribed authority and the Commissioner of Income-tax. Additionally, the institute must apply for approval extension three months before expiry.
