of <h1>Government Forms Approval Committee for IT SEZ Under Special Economic Zones Act 2005, Includes Key Department Representatives</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on information technology and IT-enabled services at Thumbe Village, Bantwal Taluk, Dakshin Kannada District, Karnataka. This committee, formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, includes a Development Commissioner as Chairperson and several ex-officio members from various government departments, including Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, and Finance. Additionally, two officers from the Government of Karnataka and a representative from the developer, M/s B. A. Tech Park Private Limited, will participate as a special invitee.
