<h1>Government Approves IT and IT-enabled Services Special Economic Zone, Complying with SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Plot No. TP-2, Industrial Estate, Rai, Sonipat, Haryana. This initiative, proposed by a private organization, complies with the requirements of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. A letter of approval was granted on July 26, 2007, and the land, measuring 10.2498 hectares, is officially notified as an SEZ under the authority of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
