<h1>India Exempts Customs Duties on Flood Relief Donations to Bihar Until February 2009 Under Notification No. 101/2008.</h1> The Central Government of India has issued Notification No. 101/2008, dated September 2, 2008, exempting all goods imported for donation to aid flood relief and rehabilitation in Bihar from customs duties. This exemption applies to goods listed in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and includes the entire customs duty and additional duty. Conditions include certification by the importer that the goods are for donation, delivery to approved government or relief agencies, and submission of a certificate from the District Magistrate within six months. The notification is effective until February 28, 2009.
