of <h1>Hindustan Lever's Rhizobium Research Project Approved Under Income-tax Act Section 35(2A); Meerut University to Implement</h1> A scientific research program titled 'Genetic Selection and Maintenance of High Proficiency Strains of Rhizobium for Vigna Sinensis Lens Culinaris' has been approved under sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Sponsored by Hindustan Lever Ltd., the project will be implemented by the Department of Botany at Meerut University, Meerut. The program commenced on February 1, 1984, and is scheduled to conclude on January 31, 1987, with an estimated budget of 3.13 lakhs. Meerut University is approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, as per a previous notification.
