Additionally, 358 items are reserved for exclusive purchase by Central Ministries and Public Sector Undertakings from MSEs. The Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), introduced in 2008, provides capital subsidy to new micro enterprises, merging the previous Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) and Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP).
