        The Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008 was passed by both the Houses of Parliament on 23rd December, 2008. The Act was notified on 5th February, 2009. The said copy of the Act is also published on website www.mit.gov.in.

        Department has prepared draft rules in respect of sections 52, 54, 69, 69A, 69B, 70B(1) and 70B(5). These draft rules have been published on website www.mit.gov.in.

        Comments on the draft rules hosted on the website are invited from any person including group of individuals, firms, organizations, companies, associations, service providers and intermediaries. They may send their comments by e-mail ([email protected]) or by post to :
