<h1>AI policy implementation: ensure agricultural AI delivers to farmers via infrastructure, governance and data protection.</h1> Maharashtra's agricultural AI policy promises institutional development, digital public infrastructure, financial support and capacity building, but implementation is lagging: allocated funds remain unspent, innovation centres and leadership appointments are pending, and summit activities have not translated into grassroots adoption. Addressing the rural digital divide, establishing data protection safeguards, auditing the crop insurance scheme, stabilising price support and export policy, and creating a concrete roadmap with oversight are identified as necessary to ensure AI tools benefit ordinary farmers.
