of <h1>Agriculture and rural economy: prioritise innovation, technology and institutional finance to expand credit access and rural infrastructure for profitability</h1> State-level policy emphasizes addressing agricultural and rural-economy challenges through innovation, technology and strengthened institutional finance; this requires prioritising timely, simple and transparent credit access to farmers, revival of primary agricultural credit societies, and development of Smart Agriculture Zones, with an assessed priority sector credit potential of Rs 3.67 lakh crore for 2026-27. NABARD funding under RIDF has sanctioned significant sums for rural infrastructure and will prioritise crop diversification, water conservation, microirrigation, horticulture, value addition, climateresilient agriculture, FPO strengthening, rural MSME promotion and renewable energy to improve market access and farm profitability.
