<h1>Bilateral strategic partnership on trade, border security, and transnational crime agreed, including intelligence sharing and visa facilitation.</h1> Two countries agreed to develop a long-term comprehensive strategic partnership covering trade, border security, and transnational crime. The agreement provides for intelligence sharing and cooperation with manufacturers to prevent supply of small-boat engines and equipment to smuggling gangs, and for scaled removals and intensified enforcement against organised synthetic opioid production, thereby operationalising joint migration enforcement and criminal interdiction. Trade measures include progress on tariffs, a bilateral services partnership, and export facilitation, while health cooperation and animal and plant quarantine arrangements were also agreed. A unilateral 30-day visa waiver offer for nationals was floated to facilitate business and tourism travel.
