Draft Puri Declaration and new MoUs boost India's clean energy transition with renewable pilots and Green Hydrogen Centre
A two-day Global Energy Leaders Summit in Odisha concluded with the launch of the Draft Puri Declaration and the execution of four knowledge-partnership Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to advance India's clean energy transition. The MoUs establish collaborations among international and domestic universities, public sector entities, and private companies for renewable-energy pilot projects, a Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence, and joint development of renewable-energy projects across Odisha, including integrated planning and deployment. The Draft Puri Declaration, developed with input from central ministries and circulated to states for consultation, seeks a consensual, cooperative federal framework for long-term clean energy policy, capacity building, and institutional reform.
