<h1>ED to auction seized Hawker 800A jet under PMLA to repay victims of Rs 792 crore fraud</h1> The Enforcement Directorate has placed a seized Hawker 800A business jet for auction in Hyderabad to facilitate restitution to victims of an alleged Rs 792 crore investment fraud involving a bogus invoice-discounting scheme. The aircraft, purchased in 2024 and used by the company's chairman-cum-managing director to flee abroad, was provisionally attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and its attachment was later confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority. On 20 November, the Authority authorised ED to take possession and sell the movable asset, invoking PMLA provisions allowing sale of attached property. A chargesheet has been filed and three associates, including a relative and senior company officers, have been arrested.
