The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to organise the Government e-Marketplace Kreta Samvad on 28 November 2025 at Minto Hall, Bhopal. The initiative aims to strengthen digital public procurement capabilities across State departments and enable buyer organisations to make more effective use of GeM’s ecosystem, features and workflows.

The conclave will highlight opportunities for sellers and service providers on the GeM platform, offering streamlined access to buyers ranging from local entities to national-level procurement organisations. Recent reforms—including the removal of Caution Money and reduction in Vendor Assessment fees—are enabling greater participation from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), women entrepreneurs, startups, artisans and SC/ST enterprises, making public procurement more accessible and transparent. Speaking ahead of the event, CEO, GeM, Shri Mihir Kumar said that the programme would provide an opportunity for buyer organisations to understand new features, clarify operational processes and share feedback, thereby helping Madhya Pradesh set new benchmarks in transparent and efficient public procurement.

Madhya Pradesh has already procured goods and services worth over ₹12,600 crore through GeM, including ₹7,100 crore from MSEs, underscoring the State’s strong focus on inclusive procurement. GeM has facilitated faster procurement cycles, enhanced competition, nationwide market access and full traceability of procurement decisions.

GeM remains engaged in assisting Madhya Pradesh in improving digital governance, compliance readiness and inclusive procurement practices.
