<h1>Multi-venue Kochi-Muziris Biennale to transform heritage sites and public spaces into major cultural hub, Dec 2025-Mar 2026</h1> The upcoming sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale will operate as a large, multi-venue public cultural event spanning historic and modern properties across Kochi, Mattancherry, Willingdon Island, and Ernakulam from December 12, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation, it will lawfully utilise repurposed warehouses, heritage buildings, and public infrastructure such as the Water Metro, with several venues hosting curated and parallel exhibitions, including student and children's programmes. A colonial-era jail and multiple heritage structures will be used as exhibition sites, embedding the event within legally protected historic spaces and requiring coordination with local authorities, property owners, and heritage regulations.
