<h1>Winter session to table major reform bills on atomic energy, higher education, highways, corporate laws, securities and arbitration</h1> The upcoming winter session of Parliament is slated to consider 10 new legislations, notably the Atomic Energy Bill, 2025, to regulate atomic energy use and open the civil nuclear sector to private participation. The Higher Education Commission of India Bill proposes a new regulator to promote institutional autonomy and accreditation reform. The National Highways (Amendment) Bill targets expedited, more transparent land acquisition. The Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2025 aims to amend the Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008 for ease of doing business. A Securities Markets Code Bill would consolidate key securities statutes, and amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act are under review following judicial observations.
