Doorstep welfare drive launched, bringing panchayat and ward-level service camps to ensure on-the-spot benefits for all residents
A state finance minister in Jharkhand launched the 2025 edition of the government's doorstep outreach programme, 'Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar,' from Palamu, to run until December 15. The first week is themed 'Right to Service,' with service-delivery camps at panchayat level in rural areas and ward level in urban areas, and district-level events scheduled by instructions sent to all deputy commissioners. The programme seeks to ensure no eligible resident is denied welfare benefits and to enable on-the-spot application processing and benefit disbursal. Officials were directed to promptly process beneficiaries' applications. Another flagship scheme aimed at improving women's economic conditions was also highlighted, with multi-department stalls facilitating immediate access to welfare schemes.
