New Logistics Policy 2025 to grant industry status, boost multimodal infrastructure and private investment in integrated connectivity
Jammu and Kashmir authorities will soon introduce a Logistics Policy 2025, establishing an industry status for the logistics sector to extend full industrial policy benefits. The policy will create a legal and regulatory framework for multimodal connectivity, dry ports, warehousing zones, and incentivize private sector participation. Aligned with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, 49 logistics and connectivity projects worth about Rs 3,000 crore have been mapped for integrated planning, cost reduction, and improved last-mile connectivity. A Multi-Modal Logistics Park at Vijaypur, Jammu, will be developed under a PPP-DBFOT model, providing statutory backing for long-term private investment in logistics infrastructure.
