<h1>Union unveils 300-acre Drone City to boost manufacturing, testing, R&D and create 40,000+ jobs under Make in India</h1> Union government announced India's first 300-acre Drone City at Orvakal, developed with a state government partner, to house manufacturing, testing, R&D and repairs, including the world's largest common drone testing facility and projected to create over 40,000 jobs. The initiative follows foundation work on adjacent industrial nodes and forms part of NICDC's programme to build Greenfield Industrial Smart Cities across multiple corridors to boost semiconductors, clean energy, aerospace, logistics, defence and electronics manufacturing. NICDC highlighted integrated digital platforms (ULIP, LDB, IILB) to attract investment, enhance infrastructure and advance the Make in India/Industry 5.0 agenda.
