<h1>Government approves six-year Rs 25,060 crore Export Promotion Mission to support exporters across textiles, engineering, leather sectors</h1> The government approved a six-year Export Promotion Mission with a Rs 25,060 crore outlay beginning this fiscal, to be implemented through two sub-schemes, Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha, aimed at supporting the full export ecosystem. Priority sectors include textiles, leather, engineering, marine and gems and jewellery. The initiative is intended to mitigate risks to domestic exporters from global trade disruptions, notably steep US tariffs of 50% on Indian goods imposed from August 27.
