        <h1>Narcotics and gold seized at Mumbai airport; six passengers arrested under NDPS and Customs laws.</h1> Customs officers intercepted arriving passengers from Bangkok, Phuket and Nairobi and seized multiple consignments of suspected hydroponic cannabis concealed in trolley bags and 358 grams of 22 carat melted gold. The narcotics were seized under the NDPS Act and the gold was confiscated under the Customs Act; six passengers were arrested and further investigations are ongoing to explore links to international smuggling networks and to pursue statutory forfeiture and prosecution.
