<h1>Foundation stone laid for Assam's first technical and vocational university at Bholaguri with Rs 415 crore funding</h1> A Union minister laid the foundation stone for Assam's first state university focused on technical and vocational education and training, to be built at Bholaguri in Gohpur, Biswanath district, at a cost of Rs 415 crore. The campus will cover 241 acres with 7 lakh sq ft of built-up area, academic blocks for 2,000 students, hostels for 1,620, residential quarters, a guest house and a student facility centre. The university will offer programs in AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, blockchain, drone and navigation technology, quantum computing, brain-computer interfaces, IoT, and smart cities.
