Growth was led by domestic travel (15.7%) and strong gains at regional airports including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Ayodhya and Lucknow. Air cargo also expanded-CAGR 19.1% since FY2016 17 and a 9.4% year on year rise to 28,356 metric tonnes in FY2024 25-driven by increased handling at key airports and integration of industrial clusters into air logistics. Infrastructure projects and new airports underpin these trends.
