<h1>ED files PMLA chargesheet under Section 3 alleging money laundering from monetised wildlife offence involving snakes and an iguana</h1> The Enforcement Directorate filed a PMLA chargesheet in a special court in Gurugram alleging money laundering tied to an alleged wildlife offence where protected snakes and an iguana were used in commercial videos. The accused include a social media creator, a singer/content creator, a private media company and its director; the agency alleges proceeds of crime of about Rs 84,000 from monetisation of the offending video. The chargesheet follows two police FIRs and prior charges under the Wildlife Protection Act, NDPS Act and IPC. The court has yet to take cognisance; the accused were questioned by the ED.
