of <h1>Income Tax Return and Audit Deadline Extended to November 30, 2008, in Jammu and Kashmir Due to Disruptions.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns and obtaining tax audit reports under section 44AB of the Income Tax Act, 1961, from September 30, 2008, to November 30, 2008, in Jammu and Kashmir. This extension is due to disruptions caused by law and order issues in the state.
