<h1>Gang charged with using imposters, forged IDs and AI-altered photos to cheat in recruitment exams; booked under Public Examinations Act</h1> Police in Lucknow arrested ten members of an inter-state gang accused of arranging imposters to sit recruitment exams using manipulated identity documents and AI-altered photographs to approximate the candidates' faces. Investigators seized phones, duplicate IDs, Aadhaar cards, storage devices, a laptop, cash and photographs. The gang allegedly charged candidates large sums for preliminary, main and placement assistance and used forged admit cards to enter centres. Accused have been booked for forgery, cheating, criminal conspiracy and offences under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024; digital forensics and further inquiries continue.
