Phase 2B cost about Rs 12,195 crore; the entire Aqua Line cost over Rs 37,270 crore and was co-funded by the central government and an international agency. The line integrates with suburban rail at key stations, is projected to serve about 1.3 million daily commuters, cut suburban rail load and fuel use, involved large-scale rehabilitation and compensatory plantations, and coincides with launch of an integrated mobility app and a new airport.
