of <h1>CBDT Extends Tax Filing Deadlines in Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir Due to Floods and Law & Order Issues.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns and obtaining tax audit reports under section 44AB of the Income Tax Act, 1961, in Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir. In Bihar, the deadline has been extended from 30th September 2008 to 30th November 2008 due to flood disruptions. In Jammu & Kashmir, the deadline has been extended from 31st July 2008 to 30th September 2008 due to law and order issues.
