<h1>Event manager probed for alleged organised financial crimes, benami property acquisition; PAN cards, corporate seals and loan irregularities seized</h1> Law enforcement agencies are poised to expand a criminal probe into alleged organised financial crimes and acquisition of benami properties by an event manager who is also an accused in the death of a regional cultural icon. Assam Police CID is leading the investigation, supported by a SIT, and officials from the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department have visited CID offices and may formally join. CID raids recovered multiple PAN cards, nearly 30 corporate and official stamp seals, and documents alleging long-running fiscal irregularities including an allegedly mismanaged Rs 14 crore NBFC loan disbursed two decades ago; numerous FIRs have been filed statewide.
