Launched in urban local bodies in January and extended statewide to rural areas in April, the system recorded 62,524 of 144,416 registrations online through Sept 22, 2025. The reform reduces administrative burdens and benefits non-resident citizens and those abroad, though officials note continued public awareness is needed to maximize uptake.
