<h1>Government approves Rs 69,725 crore shipbuilding package, railway bonuses, capacity building and major road and rail projects</h1> The Union Cabinet approved a Rs 69,725 crore package to bolster domestic shipbuilding and reduce reliance on foreign vessels, alongside a Rs 1,865.68 crore productivity-linked bonus for 10.91 lakh railway employees. It sanctioned a Rs 2,277.397 crore Capacity Building and Human Resource Development scheme for a national research council for 2021-22 to 2025-26. The cabinet also cleared road and rail projects in Bihar, including doubling a 104-km railway section (approx. Rs 2,192 crore) and construction of a 78.942-km four-lane highway section (approx. Rs 3,822.31 crore), citing employment and infrastructure benefits.
