<h1>State fixes 2025-26 Kharif pulses and oilseeds procurement schedule, designates mandis and mandates storage readiness</h1> The state government reviewed and set procurement schedules and designated over 100 mandis for the 2025-26 Kharif pulses and oilseeds marketing season, with moong procured Sept 23-Nov 15 at 38 mandis; arhar and urad in December at 22 and 10 mandis; groundnut Nov 1-Dec 31 at 7 mandis; til in December at 27 mandis; and soybean and niger seed in Oct-Nov at 7 and 2 mandis respectively. Officials were directed to ensure timely, smooth procurement, adequate storage and gunny-bag availability. Reported acreage and yields improved-moong area rose from 1.09 to 1.47 lakh acres, yield from 300 to 400 kg/acre, driving projected production increases; arhar, urad and til also showed gains.
