<h1>Businessman alleges relatives illegally barred him from ancestral properties; FIR filed under BNS s.126(2) and s.3(5)</h1> A businessman filed a police complaint alleging his brother and other relatives unlawfully prevented him from entering ancestral residential and commercial properties after their mother's death, despite wills that purportedly divided assets equally; he alleges forcible exclusion, broken locks, retained personal effects and an attempted sale of one property. The Economic Offences Wing registered an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for wrongful restraint (s.126(2)) and common intention (s.3(5)); statements from the accused relatives and witnesses have been recorded and the matter is under police investigation.
