Vendors were not paid after deliveries and were induced to pay large sums as commission, earnest money and stamp duty, resulting in alleged losses exceeding Rs 2 crore. Police recovered tens of thousands of uniforms, cash, jewellery and a vehicle, and identified flats for attachment. Multiple FIRs have been filed across several states; some suspects face prior charges including cheating, forgery, sexual offences and gang-related offences.
