<h1>Government reissues two sovereign bonds (6.68% 2040, 6.90% 2065) Rs16,000cr each, auction Sept 26, 2025; non-competitive 5% reserved; settlement Sept 29</h1> The government announced re-issues of two sovereign bonds-6.68% maturing 2040 and 6.90% maturing 2065-each notified at Rs.16,000 crore nominal, with an option to retain an additional Rs.2,000 crore per security. The central bank's Mumbai office will conduct price-based multiple-price auctions on September 26, 2025. Up to 5% of each issue is reserved for eligible non-competitive bidders. Non-competitive bids are to be submitted between 10:30-11:00 a.m. and competitive bids between 10:30-11:30 a.m. via the central bank's electronic system. Auction results are same day; settlement on September 29, 2025. The securities are eligible for when-issued trading under existing guidelines.
