At a university-hosted Rabi agriculture fair the government launched a fruit-sapling distribution scheme to provide 55,000 saplings across 110 villages, issued up to Rs 40,000 in mock cheques to 50 cattle rearers under an indigenous-cow and Murrah development programme, granted dairy-establishment approvals to 75 women entrepreneurs, and opened an agricultural entrepreneurship centre plus two women's hostels.
