<h1>Unified Pension Scheme: Eligible central employees and past NPS retirees must opt in by 30.09.2025; paper forms allowed</h1> A recently notified Unified Pension Scheme requires eligible central employees and past NPS retirees to opt in by 30.09.2025; the finance ministry announced that if a subscriber cannot file the option online due to platform unavailability or technical issues, they may submit a duly filled physical application to their designated Nodal Office by the deadline. Such paper requests will be processed by the Nodal Office in accordance with prescribed procedures. The deadline applies to all eligible current employees and past retirees under the NPS.
