<h1>Memorandum of Understanding strengthens healthcare capacity and scholarship partnership to train local doctors and support health awareness.</h1> A Memorandum of Understanding establishes a long term partnership between Merck Foundation and the First Lady of Mozambique to provide 100 medical scholarships for Mozambican doctors in critical and underserved specialties, continue collaboration with the Ministry of Health to enrol additional trainees, and expand programmes that build healthcare and media capacity. The agreement integrates clinical training with public awareness initiatives-media training, awards for creative sectors, educational materials, and broadcasting-to address health priorities and social issues including infertility stigma and girls' education.
