No contravention of law: SIT clean chit accepted, related complaints closed and report sealed with limited disclosure.
Supreme Court accepted a Special Investigation Team's conclusion of no contravention of law by Vantara after a coordinated multi-agency probe, and ordered complaints listed in the SIT summary closed. The Court recorded that animal imports were supported by valid permits under a multi-jurisdictional approvals framework, that welfare standards at Vantara exceeded statutory and international benchmarks, and that allegations of smuggling, laundering and financial impropriety were unsupported. The SIT report was ordered re-sealed, with a full copy to be shared with Vantara subject to confidentiality undertakings, and the summary left non-confidential.
