<h1>Chief minister asks defence minister to transfer 98.20 acres for Gandhi Sarovar Project, fund schools, approve 12-lane road</h1> The state chief minister urged the union defence minister to transfer 98.20 acres of defence land in the city for a proposed 'Gandhi Sarovar Project' at the confluence of two rivers, describing planned features including a unity circle, knowledge hub, meditation village, handloom-awareness centre, landscaping, a peace statue and museum. During a National Capital visit the chief minister also sought central approval to create a special corporation to raise funds for integrated residential schools and requested sanction of a 12-lane greenfield road linking a proposed Future City to a major port via the neighbouring state capital.
