<h1>Stakeholder consultation shapes accessible, actionable Human Development Report to track maternal and child well-being, WASH, and services</h1> A university-affiliated institute convened a stakeholder consultation to shape a district Human Development Report, bringing together representatives from government, academia, civil society, media and development organizations to identify priorities across education, health, livelihoods, governance, environment and spatial change. Participants advocated making the report accessible and actionable via regional-language translation, user-friendly indices, disaggregated data and primary surveys capturing gender and rural-urban differences. The HDR is intended as a baseline to monitor maternal and child well-being, WASH, pollution, land use and access to essential services, and to serve as a policymaking and citizen-engagement tool.
