Deep-sea patrols covered up to 100 nautical miles while land operations involved port, immigration, intelligence and fire services. Fishermen were trained to report suspicious foreigners or persons at sea. The drill aimed to enhance surveillance, detection and neutralization capabilities, revalidate communication systems and strengthen inter-agency coordination in preventing maritime terrorist infiltration.
