<h1>Government and pharma partner to fund and incubate 14 MedTech startups with up to Rs.60 lakh grants, 18-month support</h1> A government department entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with a private pharmaceutical company to create a public-private partnership advancing healthcare innovation. The agreement commits the company to provide grants up to Rs. 60 lakh per eligible government-recognized startup, an 18-month incubation program administered by a third-party incubator, dedicated acceleration tracks for clinical validation, regulatory approvals and commercialisation, mentorship, infrastructure access and exposure to the company's R&D facilities. The initiative targets 14 MedTech startups addressing screening, diagnostics, monitoring and treatment enablers in priority areas including NCDs, oncology, brain health, maternal and child health and immunisation, aiming to shorten lab-to-market timelines.
