<h1>GST rate reductions on dairy, fertiliser, biopesticides and agricultural machinery to lower tax burdens across those sectors.</h1> The Goods and Services Tax Council approved GST rate reductions effective September 22 for specified dairy products (making UHT milk and paneer tax exempt and lowering rates on condensed milk, butter, other fats and cheese), key fertiliser inputs and micro nutrients under the Fertiliser Control Order, 1985, a list of enumerated biopesticides, and a range of agricultural machinery, tractors and comprehensive tractor components, including specified diesel engines, irrigation equipment and parts.
