<h1>Global South leaders convene to design flexible, tech-autonomous trade architecture countering sanctions-driven fragmentation and Western protectionism</h1> An international convening in Vladivostok will address proposals for a new, flexible and technologically autonomous global trade architecture in response to perceived Western protectionism and sanctions-driven fragmentation. Participants will include UN and regional officials, academics from India and Europe, and government representatives, who will discuss regulatory harmonization for Global South countries, digital identities, common standards, and resilient trade mechanisms. Panels will consider institutional reform, technological sovereignty in supply chains and digital payments, and strategic opportunities for alternative centers of trade and investment. The forum aims to produce practical solutions for rebooting international trade cooperation.
