Government-linked incubator to launch pilot cohort to incubate 100 agri-food and agri-tech startups for export readiness
A statutory export-promotion body launched an initiative to incubate 100 agri-food and agri-tech startups via a pilot cohort beginning September 2025, aiming to enhance export readiness and achieve a $50 billion agri-food export target by 2030. The programme provides a three-month acceleration track covering product development, regulatory compliance, market access and SPS/TBT issues, and promotes technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT) and value-add sectors (GI products, organic, AYUSH). Selection will be by application; partnerships with state boards, universities and industry bodies are envisaged. The initiative is positioned as a scalable annual government-linked incubation scheme to reduce export barriers related to quality, perishability and logistics.
