The meeting acknowledged existing differences over a proposed Digital Competition Law and reiterated readiness for regular dialogue and joint work on interface issues between data protection and competition law. The corporate affairs ministry will undertake market studies to build an evidence base for any ex-ante digital competition regime after wide stakeholder consultations on the draft bill, which drew more than a hundred responses.
