<h1>Prime Minister opens Rs 11,000 crore Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road II to cut travel time, ease congestion</h1> The prime minister inaugurated the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II, projects totalling about Rs 11,000 crore intended to decongest the national capital and improve connectivity. The 10.1 km Delhi portion of the Dwarka Expressway (Rs 5,360 crore) links to metro lines, an upcoming railway station and a bus depot; the UER-II works including new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat cost about Rs 5,580 crore. Officials say the projects will cut travel times to the airport, ease traffic on ring roads and key junctions, repurpose municipal waste in construction, and are expected to halve traffic jams.
