Government and private firm launch 6-month innovation challenge for early-stage manufacturing startups, focusing on inclusivity and growth
A government department entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with a private company to support early-stage manufacturing startups through a six-month innovation challenge. The initiative targets startups working on hardware, IoT, packaging, and sustainable manufacturing, providing mentorship, expert workshops, and access to a digital delivery platform. Special emphasis is placed on women-led and startups from smaller cities. The private company will incorporate over 100 startups into its supply chain, facilitating market access and product showcasing. This partnership aims to accelerate innovation, promote inclusive growth, and enhance self-reliance in the manufacturing sector.
